Norcross Community Garden It’s planting time and the garden has many ways to play in the dirt. You can rent a bed and plant for your own enjoyment. You or your business, church, charitable group, or neighbors can sponsor a bed with a financial contribution or by being the volunteers who tend it for donation to help feed the hungry. You can join in the work days at the garden, especially as they prepare for the Blossom Garden Tour during Norcross Blossoms on April 28. The next work day is Saturday April 14 from 9 AM until noon. Help Local Victims Our neighbor, Rebekah Slattery, reminds us that the tragic murder and suicide on February 21st at the Su Jung Health Sauna on Buford Highway left 2 young ladies, Jenny (24) and Alexis (17) orphaned and without any other family in the Atlanta area. According to Rebekah, many of you have asked how you can support the girls as they deal with their losses and begin to recover. Please contact her, at RebekahSlattery@gmail.com 678.472.6220 or 425 Longview Dr. As Jenny's Bible Study leader Rebekah sees the girls often and is happy to be the conduit for your care and concern.

Want to help out the Norcross Co-op Ministry? Here's how: Here are some thoughts about volunteer opportunities: 1) Provide children's outside activities on Saturday mornings. This would be from approximately 9:30am - 12:00. As I mentioned we have many children come in on Saturdays with their parents. They are often times here for several hours, which can be a really long wait for kids. We are looking for a group of probably 6 - 8 who would take the kids outside and play games and do other activities with them. Of course, weather would be a factor at times. 2) We are always in need to 2 volunteers to work from 2:00pm - 4:00pm, Monday - Friday to receive and sort donations in our warehouse. 3) During the summer when school is out we will also be in need of volunteer groups to provide children's activities on Monday, Wed and Friday from 10 - 2. Then there are those one time projects that come up; mailings, building maintenance, yard work, etc. that the director can let someone know about. As for donations, we of course always need: Non-perishable food items, Diapers, Hygiene items, Blankets (can be gently used); Small kitchen items: pots, pan, dishes, etc (can be used)
